Cleaning

Our Neighbourhood Services Cleaning team work hard to ensure your communal areas are clean, tidy and safe, so that everyone can enjoy living in their home.

As part of our keep clear and safe policy, which is designed to keep everyone safe, you should ensure communal areas are free of personal belongings such as door mats, pushchairs or buggies, bicycles, shoes, furniture, or other household items.

Below are the details of how we’ll maintain each aspect of your communal areas.

cleaning

Bin areas

The floors will be swept and any debris will be removed. All ledges and corners will be free from dirt, cobwebs, and debris.

Mirrors and internal glass

Mirrors and glass will be clear of dust, smears, and marks.

Flooring

All flooring will be vacuumed, swept and mopped (or dry mopped in damp or freezing conditions). Entrance mats will be cleaned and corners and edges will be free from scuff marks. We’ll carry out a deep clean of the flooring each year.

Furniture and fittings

Furniture will be free from litter, dust, or fluff.

Surfaces and skirting

All surfaces will be free from dirt, stains, smears, finger marks, and cobwebs.

Walls, windows and doors

Something that needs attention?

Although we regularly inspect communal areas, we need your help to ensure they are safe, tidy, and welcoming for everyone.
