Ending your tenancy

Before your tenancy end and you hand the keys back to us please ensure you have completed the following;

  • Property and garden including the loft, sheds and outhouses must be left completely empty of all your furniture, belongings and rubbish.
  • Your rubbish must be disposed of correctly and the rubbish bins must not be contaminated (the correct rubbish must be in the correct bins). You will be recharged if your bins are not collected due to them being contaminated.

  • The property must be left in a good decorative order.

  • Any marks on the ceilings, walls or doors must be cleaned off and painted over (to match existing colour) if appropriate.

  • Any screws or nails in the walls must be removed and all holes or damage to walls must be filled.

  • Your garden must be left well maintained; hedges and bushes cut and the grass freshly cut. If you have installed a pond you must fill this in.

  • All carpets and laminate flooring must be lifted and disposed of and the rest of the flooring must be mopped and vacuumed/swept.

  • Any sheds/ outhouses must be swept clean and all cobwebs removed.

  • Return all the keys including sheds, outhouses, windows and fobs etc.

  • Please ensure that all surfaces are wiped clean in the property, sheds and outhouses (if applicable).

What happens next?

Once you have completed this form, Victory Homes will get in touch with you to discuss your end-of-tenancy form and to book a property inspection within the first week of your notice period - where possible.
